Teaching is a big part of my business. I do throwing for 25 years on. I started in college in Hungary, then I worked for several artists as a production thrower. I got into the flow and I learnt to throw identical shapes very quickly. I love throwing because it’s therapeutic whenever I sit down at the wheel. I got lots of useful tips and practise at the beginning from my tutor Karoly Ungvari. He was a fantastic thrower and decorator too. I like to pass these tips and this dying skill to people, who love to learn pottery. In my courses, you are able to learn the basic things as , centralising, pulling the wall and making couple of simple forms as, cylinders, mugs, bowls. During the 4 weeks course, we can finish some work together from the beginning to the finish.
Teaching – I do throwing over 20 years. I focus mainly on hand-throwing. I have maximum 3-4 people in the class. The beginner or refreshing course give you enough time to improve and finish some work, learning pulling handles, mostly the basic things. The taster session gives you a picture of working with your hand and get messy with clay.
